Made of water white optical glass, the filters in this kit have strength grades of 1/2, 1/4, and 1/8, with the filter effect becoming approximately twice as strong as a grade number increases. Double-sided nano-coating adds scratch and smudge resistance and prevents reflection. Each filter measures 95mm in diameter.
Glimmer filters are commonly used to create a glow around light sources with reduced contrast with desaturated colors and blooming highlights, while retaining shadow detail. The all-glass filter can be used with the optional 95mm circular filter tray for the Mirage Matte Box.
