Sound Radix Auto-Align Post 2 is a specialized plugin for automatic time and phase alignment of multi-track dialogue recordings in post-production. Designed for film, TV, streaming and broadcast workflows, Auto-Align Post 2 analyzes the time and phase relationships between different microphone sources – typically lavalier, boom and camera microphones – in real time and corrects them fully automatically. The goal is a phase-coherent, clearly understandable and spatially stable dialog track without the need to manually move or edit clips.
The software uses advanced algorithms for phase and delay detection at sample level. The speech signal itself is used as a reference to precisely analyze and compensate for the latency and delay differences between the microphone sources. The result is a natural-sounding dialog track in which the various microphone sources can be optimally summed – without comb filter effects, phase cancellations or artificial room components.
A special feature of Auto-Align Post 2 is the integration of ARA2 technology, which enables a fast, seamless workflow within supported DAWs – including Steinberg Nuendo, Presonus Studio One and others. In ARA2-enabled hosts, the analysis is performed directly in the audio track without having to load the plugin as a real-time effect. Alternatively, classic real-time processing is also possible via plug-in insert, compatible with AAX Native, VST, VST3 and AU.
Typical applications include dialog editing for film and series productions, documentaries, reality TV and other formats with multiple microphone sources. Auto-Align Post 2 is suitable for the quick alignment of individual takes as well as for complex projects with a large number of tracks. The software supports various scenarios, such as changing microphone positions, moving sound sources and crosstalk recordings.
