SmartSystem Matrix Sled Extreme Vlock

Matrix Sled Extreme turns Static Balancing and Dynamic Balancing into child's play. The EXTREME version is perfect for Cinema cameras, even heavier models, thanks to the additional counterbalance weights included. Its ultra fluid gimbal and micrometric non-floating head are backlash compensated. Its Monitor LCD holder is on separate rods for maximum strength and flexibility. Matrix Sled Extreme has an innovative battery management system based on Double Vlock Batteries slots for +12V or 24V operation with additional C-Battery Slots. Its 40mm Carbon fiber Telescopic center post has a total weight of 12.13 lbs (5.5kg) without counterbalance weights. Matrix Sled Extreme is convenient to transport with its included hard case.

Solutions arise from needs. The Matrix Sled's smarthead allows the operator to disconnect integrally the sled's head and create new configurations. Thanks to this technology, you can keep your sled up to date and prepared to accommodate future releases by SmartSystem. You can also customize the head according to your specific needs.

Monitor Rods Kit
• First rate carbon rods kit. Apart from adjusting the distance between the monitor and the post and its position, you can also tilt it on.
• To guarantee a sold level of support at any angle, an Indexed articulation system is provided. There won't be the slightest rotation of the monitor holder even in the most challenging working conditions.

Smartpack. Innovative Floating Battery Pack
You choose what you want to power and how. For cinema as well as for broadcast, how to power the different components, according to their specific function, has been a problem for many operators who must combine lightness and efficiency. SmartPack let you choose what you want to power and how.

The two installed batteries have separate circuits and thanks to their easy hemispheric buttons provided with a LED signal you can choose:
• To power the camera from battery A or B or from both the batteries for a longer duration
• To power the additional accessories from battery A or B or from both of them
• To power the camera with 24V (either battery A or B must be installed). The XLR connector, thanks to its high-brightness LED, will notify when the system has reached 24V

SMARTPACK also has an indexed system for adjusting the battery pack inclination. Extreme strength and safety is guaranteed, even when using the heaviest batteries.

Dedicated Wiring
Each component of your equipment could potentially require a particular voltage in order to work properly. Most commercial sleds have only one wiring in order to connect your battery pack from the lower side of the sled to the upper one. Matrix Sled makes it possible to connect up to three different voltages from your batteries to the component that needs to be powered up. This translates into complete freedom and versatility.

C Battery Included
Matrix Sled Extreme is equipped with an additional C Battery plate giving more power and flexibility to your setup.

Counterbalance Additional Weight
The essence of a Steadicam sled is the ability to balance the weight of your camera (including accessories like remote follow focus or particular cinema lenses.) More weight on the upper part of your sled can be counterbalanced, increasing the distance of the batteries or monitor from the fulcrum represented by the gimbal. This translates into a less practical sled setup, reducing the ability to boom down (you'll risk touching the ground with batteries or lower part of sled) or hit the sled with your legs during fast movements. Matrix Sled Extreme gives you the potential to add up to to ten counterbalance weights (7.93 oz/225g each) in order to reach the perfect balancing without sacrificing the versatility of your setup.

High Quality Connectors
From the original Neutrik XLR to the BNC connector with gold plated contacts, the power and the video signal (Full-HD-HD-SDI) are guaranteed with the absence of any insertion loss.

LEMO - FISCHER
SmartSystem's main target is easiness and quickness. Often the worst enemies of a Steadicam operator are the cables themselves. The standard connectors used on their sleds are strong, easy to find and, above all, have excellent electrical features.
