It helps mitigate annoying wind noise in a manner superior to foam windscreens. Thanks to the long-haired exterior and nylon interior, the windscreen offers two layers of sonic protection against wind, diffusing and reducing wind-borne sounds by up to 40 dB.
Measuring 5.5" long and 3.4" in diameter, this windscreen is tailor-made for the Saramonic CamMic+ camera-mount shotgun microphone. It will slip right over that shotgun mic's supplied foam windscreen.
