The Samyang 8mm f/2.8 UMC Fisheye II Lens is a prime fisheye lens specifically designed for APS-C sized image sensors. Providing a 35mm-equivalent focal length of 12mm and full 180° angle of view, this lens is well-suited for creative applications as well as interior and architectural subjects. Its fast f/2.8 maximum aperture is further beneficial to working in low-light conditions.

Three extra-low dispersion elements and two aspherical elements have been incorporated into the optical design to minimize chromatic aberrations and distortion in order to produce sharper images. Additionally, the lens' design features a built-in lens hood and a UMC coating has been applied to the lens elements to reduce surface reflections and prevent lens flare and ghosting for improved light transmission and more contrast-rich imagery.

The Samyang 8mm f/2.8 UMC Fisheye II Lens is the updated version of the Samyang 8mm f/2.8 UMC Fisheye lens, with improved optical construction containing 11 elements in 8 optical groups including 2 aspherical and 3 ED elements for optimum optical performance.

Offering an immense field of view - 180 degrees, with a 12mm (35mm equivalent) field of view. The 8mm is a diagonal fisheye lens for APS-C format, meaning that the image it produces fills the frame on APS-C cameras. As with all current Samyang lenses it is manual focus only. It is also compact, and lightweight, giving a perfect combination with compact system cameras.

Due to the very large depth of field produced by such a small focal length lens, focus can be easily achieved by simply setting the approximate distance on the lens scale. As with all manual focus lenses for critical or in very close focus situations you can use Live-View to fine-tune the focus manually.

The Samyang 8mm F2.8 fish-eye lens is also capable of producing panoramas and 360 virtual tours, including full 360 degree images with appropriate software and hardware from third party manufacturers.
