Developed for high-volume image creation, each Pro-D3 recycles in an impressive 0.01-0.8 sec, along with a Freeze mode flash duration of 1/62,000 sec to stop any action. Compelling features include three distinct Eco, Boost, and Freeze flash modes for different performance options. The purpose of the all-new Eco mode is to optimize the Pro-D3's parameters for color consistency and extended lifetime.
Professional photographers will also appreciate a powerful output, TTL compatibility, HSS, and 11 stops of power variation. The Pro-D3 has a conveniently brighter LED modeling light, adjustable as well. Profoto Reaches New Heights
Carefully engineered as a heavy-duty industrial-grade tool, the Pro-D3's properties were completely thought out from the ground up. Profoto took a step forward by meticulously developing every component of the flash to drastically elevate its performance. By improving the Pro-D3's capacitors and reinforcing its flash tube, it offers a 2.5 longer runtime, a higher number of total flashes, and a prolonged lifespan.
Made for High-Volume Shoots
The Pro-D3 1250Ws is a studio workhorse with an impressive 11 f-stop flash power adjustment range and 0.1 f-stop precision. Profoto has aimed to satisfy the most demanding shooting circumstances, which are often found in e-commerce studios handling high-volume imaging workloads. In other words, the Pro-D3 gives you the ability to shoot at a pace that suits your photographic requirements. The Pro-D3 is alternatively valuable for rental houses if you consider that Profoto is the lighting brand that you'll find in almost every professional photo studio.
Eco, Boost & Freeze Modes
The flash head normally runs in Eco mode to prioritize color fidelity and maximize its lifetime. If you're dealing with situations where an extra punch is needed, a Boost mode is available to get you exactly where you need it. Last but not least, a Freeze mode offers motion-stopping flash durations to capture liquid sprays and splashes and to achieve other creative effects.
Always Ready for Action
This monolight can provide super quick flash durations of up to 1/62,000 seconds in Freeze mode. Shoot a splash of liquid, and it will be frozen in midair.

Profoto Air Functionality
The Pro-D3 fully supports Profoto Air functions, such as sync, TTL, HSS, and remote control with the brand's separately purchased Air 1 and Air 2 remotes. The Pro-D3 also offers Bluetooth connectivity for full compatibility with the brand's Profoto Camera and Profoto Control apps. High-Speed Sync (HSS) is ideal to shoot with a wide aperture in bright conditions or to freeze action with absolute sharpness.
Profoto Control Desktop App
The brand adds the free Profoto Control Desktop app to expand your control options and enable fast, precise, and consistent adjustments. The app offers seamless control over your Profoto light right from your Mac computer—improving any studio workflow and lighting setup, whether you're working with a single light or multi-light setups. Some of the many features of the Profoto Control Desktop app are the ability to save and reuse custom presets, independent control of up to six lighting groups, tethering integration, and firmware updates.

LED Modeling Light
A bright 56W COB LED modeling light with a 400W halogen-equivalent output draws very little power and generates minimal heat. Beyond saving energy costs, the 5600K CCT continuous light outputs up to 2380 lux at 3.3' to let you previsualize your final shot. 92 CRI color accurate, the LED modeling light reaches 6300 lumens, allowing brightness adjustments from 100 to 1%. The modeling lamp can also be set to proportional mode so its intensity is automatically adjusted to be proportional to the flash power setting.
Widely Compatible
The Pro-D3 comes with an integrated reflector and a glass diffuser plate that flatters the light output of the monolight. Its 100mm front mount is compatible with over 120 optional Profoto modifiers, expanding your light-shaping possibilities. Furthermore, the flash's stand adapter features a built-in umbrella slot.
