The flash duration of 1/ 21,100 sec in Freeze mode is capable of stopping any action, and Profoto has you covered with recycling times of 0.01 sec with no misfires. 11 stops of power range breaks down to 0.1 f-stop increments providing flexibility and consistency at all times. The D30 supports Profoto Air functions, sync, TTL, HSS, and remote control. Users can also manage the strobe settings with the elegant, highly visible local display.

Eco, Boost & Freeze Modes

The flash head normally runs in Eco mode to prioritize color fidelity and maximize its lifetime. If you're dealing with situations where an extra punch is needed, a Boost mode is available to get your light exactly where you need it. Last but not least, a Freeze mode offers motion-stopping flash durations to capture liquid sprays and splashes and to achieve other creative effects.

Bi-Color LED Modeling Light

A convenient 35W LED modeling light can match any lighting environment with a variable 2800-7000K CCT. The bare light outputs up to 1500 lux at 3.3' with a beam angle of 63° and field angle of 105°. The LED modeling light reaches 3800 lumens, allowing brightness adjustments from 100 to 10%, and is 94 CRI color accurate.

Profoto Air Functionality

The D30 fully supports Profoto Air functions. Choose from sync, TTL, HSS, and remote control with the brand's separately available Air 1 and Air 2 remotes. The D30 also offers Bluetooth connectivity for full compatibility with the brand's Profoto Camera and Profoto Control apps.

Profoto Control Desktop App

The brand adds the free Profoto Control Desktop app to expand your control options and enable fast, precise, and consistent adjustments. The app offers seamless control over your Profoto light right from your Mac computer—improving any studio workflow and lighting setup whether you're working with a single light or multi-light setups. Some of the many features of the Profoto Control Desktop app are the ability to save and reuse custom presets, independent control of up to six lighting groups, tethering integration, and firmware updates.

Its 100mm front mount is compatible with over 120 optional modifiers, expanding your light-shaping possibilities. Thanks to its sturdy construction, even the Profoto largest modifiers can be used.
