Forward directionality cardioid
Captures sound naturally while retaining some ambient sound. Recommended for when recording multiple people conversations and capturing ambient sounds, etc.

Stereo
Emphasizes the forward direction for recordings with a sense of presence. Recommended for live street performances, studio recordings, etc.

Wide stereo
Emphasizes the feeling of open space for recordings with a sense of presence. Recommended for public presentations, sports events, etc.

Forward directionality supercardioid
Clearly captures front sounds while suppressing sounds from the sides and the rear. Recommended for noisy environments or indoor spaces that have reverberation.

Rearward directionality supercardioid
Clearly captures rear sounds while suppressing sounds from the sides and the front. Recommended for when recording with narration, etc.

Bidirectional supercardioid
Clearly captures front and rear sounds while suppressing sounds from the sides. Recommended for interview recording when there is interaction between the videographer and the subject, etc.

Equipped with dual A/D converters, this device supports 32-bit float recording* with an extended dynamic range. Its high-SPL design handles sound pressure levels exceeding 120 dB, suppressing distortion even in loud environments such as live venues and ensuring clear, high-precision recordings.

Backup recording mode*
To prevent missed takes due to setting errors and to capture ambient sound, the device offers two backup recording modes*. When recording in 4-channel mode, channels 3 and 4 can be used as backups to reliably capture important audio.

No cables, just the hot shoe
Power supply and digital audio input are enabled directly from the camera body via the hot shoe connection alone. Despite its compact and lightweight design, it delivers high functionality and minimizes the overall system size.

Easy-to-use physical switches
Intuitive operation is possible via the buttons on the microphone body. Audio settings are consolidated on the side panel, while six directional mode buttons are arranged on the rear. The brightness of the directional mode button lights can be adjusted in three levels from the camera, according to the shooting environment.
