The Samyang 85mm F1.8 ED UMC CS Sony E-mount lens is a telephoto lens for Sony mirrorless E-mount cameras and combines a slim form factor with a bright f / 1.8 maximum aperture for depth-of-field control and greater versatility in difficult lighting conditions. The optical design has an extra-layer dispersion element that reduces chromatic aberrations and color fringes, and one element with a high refractive index to control spherical aberrations for improved sharpness. An Ultra Multi-Coating has also been used to enhance contrast and suppress lens flare and ghosting. In addition, the lens has a manual focus design for precise focusing up to 64 cm and contributes to a smooth bokeh quality with a nine-blade aperture.
